Shawn Fairbairn

General Manager

Shawn’s interest in livestock and agriculture started at a young age. He began his career in the feed industry in 1997 working in Western Canada, as a multi-species livestock nutritionist for Wetaskiwin Co-op and New-Life Mills. In 2011, Shawn joined the newly created Poultry Partners team. The vision to work on producer goals and farm specific programs with veterinarians and management specialists appealed to his problem-solving nature. Over the last ten years Shawn has enjoyed working with the evolving team as they work towards increasing communication and transparency within the poultry industry. Shawn lives in Saskatoon with his wife Jen and their two kids.

David Trott

Director of Sales and Lead Nutritionist (Eastern Canada)

David developed an interest in livestock and poultry from a young age and even began his research interests on his family’s small farm operations. He completed his BSc in Agricultural Science at Truman State University, and his PhD in Nutritional Science at the University of Wisconsin. Since 2011, David has performed several roles in the Ontario feed industry including poultry nutrition, ingredient quality control, feed regulations, biosecurity, and feed mill management. While building collaborative relationships throughout the industry, David led poultry nutrition, poultry sales, technical services, and purchasing teams as well as served on committees and boards with the Ontario Agri Business Association and with the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada. He has also enjoyed staying connected with students through the University of Guelph as an Adjunct Professor. In 2026, David joined Poultry Partners to provide solutions to poultry clients with a team that shares values of collaboration, integrity, innovation, and transparency. David lives near Elora, ON with his wife Teresa and their 5 kids.

Jason Kielstra

Field Technician

Jason was raised on a broiler farm west of Okotoks. In 2004 he began managing his family’s broiler farm. In 2011 Jason left the family farm and began to manage a broiler farm north of Crossfield, Alberta. In 2013 while managing the broiler farm Jason joined Poultry Health Services as a part time Field Technician. In 2017 Jason joined Poultry Partners full time. He is passionate about the Canadian Poultry industry and is excited to see the growth and success of the poultry producers he works with. He currently lives on an acreage south of Airdrie with his wife Sharon and seven kids.

Lorrie Kadylo

Field Technician

Lorrie Kadylo has been a dedicated member of PHS since 2005. In her current role as a field technician, she specializes in animal care auditing and developing comprehensive animal welfare programs. Lorrie is passionate about supporting PHS clients and looks forward to collaborating with the PPI group in a full-time position.
